From landscape vision
to planting and execution.
PLANTAE works across three core areas: landscape concept design, planting design, and on-site execution. We shape the overall landscape vision, translate it into a clear planting strategy, and carry it through to sourcing, installation, and site supervision. This allows each project to move from spatial intention to a living, buildable landscape grounded in climate, context, and real plant knowledge.

01
Landscape concept design
We define the overall landscape vision of a project: how it relates to the architecture, where openness, shade, privacy, and focal points should occur, and how vegetation can shape the spatial experience of the site. This stage establishes the character, atmosphere, and planting language of the landscape.
- Site reading and spatial analysis
- Landscape concept development
- Vegetation strategy
- Mood and visual direction
- Integration with architecture and outdoor use
02
Planting design
We translate the broader landscape vision into a specific planting strategy. This includes selecting appropriate species, organizing plant layers and compositions, and defining quantities, sizes, and densities according to climate, light, soil conditions, maintenance needs, and local plant availability.
- Species selection
- Plant composition and layering
- Plant palettes and planting plans
- Quantities and plant sizing
- Costa Rica–specific plant availability and substitution criteria

03
Landscape installation & site execution
Beyond design, we bring the landscape to life on site. We coordinate sourcing, procurement, layout, installation, and supervision so the built result stays aligned with the original design intent. This continuity between concept and execution is one of PLANTAE’s core strengths.
- Plant sourcing and nursery coordination
- Budgeting and procurement
- Site layout and planting layout adjustments
- Installation supervision
- Initial establishment and follow-up
